January 2022:

Beautiful Fall Trail

We have submitted our FY-2023 GIA trails grant to address our predicted future needs for maintaining excellent trails.

You’ll see us out in April prepping for another season of great riding. We have major work scheduled on our north sections of trail to begin with, then general maintenance to the rest of the system as funding allows. We normally only get 70-75% of our requested funding from the DNR, so we will be setting priorities as to projects.

We hope all have a good New Year, and hope to see and talk to you on the trails!

Come see us on our Trails… Take Care from the Trails!

Our year-end temperatures were perfect for a few days of riding at the end of October! We met a happy group of riders, naturally the women of the group made the picture good, they took off their helmets and did their hair.

Our trails crew hauled 70 yds of stone and gravel to our ESB ATV Trail Section 1 project. It was completed after major damage that was done to trails by the increase of oversize and overweight machines. We coordinated with the DNR Forest Service and Waters and Trails to complete the task. It requires major work both in the spring and summer, keeping the trails closed to users until complete. This was only the first phase of repairing forest lands, prior to opening again for ATV usage. The second phase will start in April of 2022, and hoping to get it completed prior to all trails opening in May 2022.

ATVAM is working on its priorities for the 2022 MN legislative session as well as regional priorities for a new statewide study of ATV Trails in Minnesota that was just awarded.

Watch for upcoming regional meetings! www.ATVAM.org

Our hard at work/fun Marketing Team participated on the behalf of the Club at four local parades. Everyone had fun, and enjoyed meeting all the area interested community people.

We hope we’ll see them again this coming summer… throwing treats and smiles to local parade goers.
