The 2024 Timberland Dirt Devils (TDD) Youth ATV Safety Education was another success. We had 28 students participate in the educational program, held the first Saturday in June at the Akeley Regional Community Center and adjoining soccer field.

To make this an annual community success, (25-30 students per year, for the last thirteen years) we have had a long list of supporters, from fourteen plus Club members assisting annually, of which five are certified instructors of the program and hand full of retired teachers from the local school systems, committing their professional time.

Other key supporters are the parents that take time to bring their child and stay to go through the education themselves. Additionally, to that we have a “Shining Star” of as fiscal partner from Lakes Area Power Sports (LAPS).
For the last ten years the Club has provided free helmets & goggles with appropriate sizing to all successful students. All were provided with assistance from LAKES AREA POWER SPORTS. The TDD has now provided over 250 helmets to area youth.

Lastly, we’d like to recognize our Sheriff’s Department of Hubbard County and our State of MN-DNR Enforcement Conservation Officers, that provide valuable input to students and parents to and for the program.
